DAY 22:

DAY 22:

Once upon a time (it was so long ago that it feels like a fairy tale), I was nominated by Leah @ Cary Grant Won’t Eat You for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Normally I don’t accept awards, but this format is super fun and I felt flattered. Said I’d post my answers in a week or two. That was…July? Maybe. Then I got busy with all the things. Most of you know what those things are, so I won’t go into detail here.

I have to go back to those things, but I just wanted to say, “Hey, thanks so much for the honor. Wish I could answer those cool questions. Thanks for making a girl feel all fancy and special.”

Just some aesthetic things I’m currently crushing on…
What is on your reading list this month?
How are you approaching the new reading year? Eagerly? Obsessively? Or slowly but surely?
This is a really light reading month for me, as I am spending a third of the month on vacation.
Since 1st February, I’ve finished:
I’m in the midst of reading:
To be finished by 29th February:
What is your favourite book this month?
Which book on your list are you most looking forward to reading?
Please share with me in the comments!
Happy reading.

I’ll be on vacation for nine days, starting tomorrow. The Chef and I are road-tripping it to Texas to visit some of my in-laws. Several posts are pre-scheduled, so the blog won’t be on radio silence whilst I am away. Answering comments might be a bit trickier, but I’ll do my best.

Today is my fifth wedding anniversary with The Chef! We’ll be painting the town a few different colors! See you tomorrow.

*Yes, I know today is Friday, but The Chef and I are both redheads…so, just go with it!

See you Friday!
The winter-encrusted inhabitants of this drafty house are agog at the most gladsome of all tidings: spring is here! It is here! It is here! Glorious. Insistent. Blustery. She’s a grand dame, is Spring. I should be writing. I could be cleaning. I would, I would…but it is 77 degrees outside! The day that a season elbows her way back into our lives is a cause for celebration, not concentration.

I’m as happy as Clara Bow with a beach ball!
This is where I put words about how the contented chirping of birds, barking of dogs, and mewing of small children have all joined to create the newest soundtrack sensation. Ice cream trucks, green shoots of plants I am constitutionally unable to recognize but overjoyed to see, and motorcycle engines belong here, too. Tank tops, sandals, and Margaritas for the win!
The front porch boards are warm beneath my feet.
I am taking a break from writing tonight to decorate my house for the holidays. Here’s Clara Bow, enjoying a similar kind of evening.
