Thank-you for reminding us all.
As a poet once wrote:-
“Time present and time past
Are both perhaps present in time future,
And time future contained in time past.
If all time is eternally present
All time is unredeemable.”
Commemorations are journeys. Let me tell you of my Google journey ce soir after your post. Numero uno; that video of London’s Calling and a chilly evening on the Thames in UK.That led me to thinking, there had to be a connection between 76 and hippie angst of 68 Yes, no?… Answer, Careful With That Axe, Eugene — the live version from Pink Floyd. Now I know what you’re thinking, but this was before they were a supergroup and had to mind their manners. Watch it…no, stick with it, and you’ll see what I mean. And then that supremely personal live acoustic performance of Troy by Sinead. Google them all and tell me I’m not wrong that they are connected… and time present and time past is eternally present.
London keeps on calling.
Hmmm. That is quite the interesting musical journey you took. I shall do the same tomorrow (after I finish a piece that is due by a deadline) and see what I make of it…
Wonderful music, maedez. It takes a lot of things and people to make us what we are. We can’t seem to live without music.
It definitely does, Judy! Music is one of the things that makes life worth living.
