I had hot chocolate and a delicious lemon pastry at the house where Anne was born – she was born in 1820. I wish I could post the photo of the plaque for you. I lived near the house when I was 7 – it’s in Thornton, Bradford – they moved to Haworth later. My visit was part of my birthday treat on December 28th – the streets were icy and the countryside nearby, en route to Haworth across the moors, was glistening with fresh white snow which made thoughts of their probably rather cold parsonage all too real!
