I was a huge Peanuts fan when I was a wee lass, and whenever I see the title “Ethan Frome”, I think of the storyline featuring Linus and his book report on “Ethan Frome”. All the references were over my head, not having read the book, but I identified with poor Linus’ struggle to do a simple book report.
Ha, that is funny. Especially the thought of the average eight year old reading Edith Wharton. Of course, Linus was ever so serious and philosophical. I should probably have related more to him when I was a child, now that I think about it. But I didn’t. I loved Snoopy and Woodstock best.
🙂 I feel cozy just looking at the pile of them!

Me, too! I’ve already read (or re-read) half of the stack this week.

That looks like a great edition of Leaves of Grass!

It is! It was so cheap, that I could not pass it up. I already own an edition, but this one is way better.
