The first time I heard that quote – that she was terrified her entire life…, I was amazed because she lived alone for so long and appeared to be a strong woman. I identified with that. I have seen her home in Abiquiu but we were not allowed in. More importantly, I saw the beautiful cliffs she painted. It is inspiring there.
