a heavy stone
lays dark and still
above the famous poet
we love him now
forevermore
but it’s likely he
won’t know it
his words of darkness
and dispair
invoked a certain feeling
his stories desperate
lost and scared
were always
quite appealing
my dearest Poe
it’s time you know
I teethed upon your words
and to this day
they still remain
the best I ever heard

Geez, another beautiful one. I love it! It put such a smile on my face. I envy your ability to just write things off the cuff like that. 🙂

His house reopened yesterday. Pretty good poem up there.

I know, I blogged about it! 🙂 I think I covered most of that saga on here. I am glad that it is finally open again. Yay!
She has done 3 here in less than a week. They make me happy.

Sorry I missed that one, maedez. I may have been in over my head somewhere. You know I rarely miss your posts. Yes, “hitandrun” must have words overflowing and bursting to get out. Quite a talent.
