It’s astonishing to see how much the covers vary from year to year (or decade to decade).
My fave is the “War of the Worlds” cover. I love that illustration. It looks so doodle-y.

They have definitely changed over time. I adore Penguin books, as you doubtless know by now, and I genuinely find this kind of thing fascinating. Book nerd, indeed.
