William Faulkner was really stylin’ with his sunglasses, pipe, shorts, and wool socks. Thanks for the link.

Edith Wharton looks uncomfortable, no? I’m liking G.K. Chesterton’s set up with a cup of tea at the ready.

She does, I agree. It doesn’t look natural. G.K. is a man after my own heart. I am putting a tea cart in my studio, in addition to the tea station in the kitchen. Priorities, you know.

The Faulkner is hilarious, but I like the realness of the Roth image.

I agree. Roth looks like he is actually working. So many of these portraits are just so formal. How many writers don a suit and tie before sitting down to work?

George Orwell’s hair and suit—sigh.

The ones of William Faulkner were hilarious! I love the Dorothy Parker chewing her pen or pencil and Twain with that dreamy look on his face. Nice find! I like The Huffington Post.
