Living where I live, rain is a blessing. I do get a little angry with the wind though.

I’d gladly give you some rain if I could. It has rained here every day for at least a week.

That is depressing, maedez. I always know what books I brought with me from back east – a slightly moldy smell. We had a little cottage on a big chunk of rock in Maine. When it rained, all the water would rush down the road, into our basement. We finally gave up and built a channel for it to the outside, so it could head to the sea where it wanted to go anyway.

It is not too bad. It has been warm and mostly sunny, with terrific but fairly short-lived thunderstorms rolling through.
A little cottage on a big chunk of rock in Maine sounds delightful, minus the wet basement and mildew. The town I grew up in had serious flooding issues. When it rained, our substantial front yards metamorphosed into ponds and our basements got wet. I feel your pain. I would probably be okay with it in Maine, though. 🙂

We’ve had a bit too much of both recently, but they never hang around for long…

I love this. A nice reminder just now (metaphorically).
