      • That is depressing, maedez. I always know what books I brought with me from back east – a slightly moldy smell. We had a little cottage on a big chunk of rock in Maine. When it rained, all the water would rush down the road, into our basement. We finally gave up and built a channel for it to the outside, so it could head to the sea where it wanted to go anyway.

      • It is not too bad. It has been warm and mostly sunny, with terrific but fairly short-lived thunderstorms rolling through.

A little cottage on a big chunk of rock in Maine sounds delightful, minus the wet basement and mildew. The town I grew up in had serious flooding issues. When it rained, our substantial front yards metamorphosed into ponds and our basements got wet. I feel your pain. I would probably be okay with it in Maine, though. πŸ™‚
