According to experts, the answer is yes. It’s only the second known image of the poet, and the first showing her as an adult. ‘Tis a big deal, no? Still No New Pynchon Photo, but Here’s Emily Dickinson-The New York Times
Yes, it certainly does! They have done so many tests and all have led back to the conclusion that it is her. Which is cool, because she is an adult in this photo. In the only other image we have of her, she is a teenager.
It must be her! That is exciting. But I must admit that I was greatly distracted by the ad for the “Beardo” on the side of The Guardian website. I had no idea.
A Beardo, as I discovered this morning, is a knitted wool beard that is sewn to a toque/winter hat. It folds up into the hat when not needed. Keeps the face warm, I guess, and looks as ridiculous as it sounds.
I saw one earlier this year, in a catalog or blog; I don’t remember where. I HAVE NOT seen one on an in-the-flesh person’s face. That would be disturbing.
Can you imagine coming in close contact with a person wearing a Beardo? Much like meeting someone walking around in a Richard Nixon mask, I’d be afraid of being robbed.
Do you think they’re actually catching on? Seriously, if I see more than one Beardo in real life I’m starting a new blog: PeopleOfBeardo.com, based on PeopleOfWalmart.com.
I hope not, but I guess colder weather will tell…If I see someone walking down the street wearing a Beardo/knock-off Beardo, I promise to try and snap a pic with my phone.
It sure does look like her, doesn’t it? Pretty cool.

Haha, true. I’m sure I will buy one or two things when that happens…My paper doll is lonely. She wants a twin.

I think the ads vary, so I am not privy to what a “Beardo” is; do tell. Please.
I also think it is her. I’m inordinately excited by this.

I just saw an ad for Beardo on IMDB. Wow. It was even worse than the one I saw on Etsy or wherever it was. Yikes.
