I remember reading about some Irish author (can’t remember which one though it could have been quite a few) who worked until the last of his candle burned down in a freezing cold room. Now we say if only we had a better laptop!
I love this. Her posture seems to suggest she needs to hurry to bed or that she’s researching on the sly. I also love that this is a woman reading at night, and not a man.

I think the answer might be all of them, at least those who lived before a certain time. 🙂
That takes dedication to one’s craft, though, as well as an exceptional amount of eye strain.
