My secret vice was watching Gilmore Girls… 🙂

Aw, why was it a vice? And a secret one at that? I watched it every week with my mom. Of course, we are very much like Rory and Lorelei. It was our jam for that reason alone.

Holy Mackerel! That is an astounding reading list. I have never seen “Gilmore Girls”, and I’m starting to think I might have really missed something…

I loved that show! My mom and I were (and are!) very much like Lorelei and Rory when I was growing up, so we really related to their personalities and unusual mom-daughter dynamic.

My daughter and I were Lorelei ! It’s our jam as well–my daughter even called it that. We went to a therapist together once (after divorce) and the therapist told us we should stop being the Gilmore girls–we never went back.
My son’s best college guy friend used to say that he’d come home from high school, flip on the tv and take a nice visit to Stars Hollow as a respite from a long, hard day 🙂
I LOVE that show though the last few seasons were a little weak.

My mom is (a more bookish) Lorelei and I am definitely Rory (both from our very similar circumstances when I was growing up, as well as in character and temperament).
If a therapist told me to quit being a Gilmore girl…my reaction would be similar to yours. 🙂
I agree that the last few seasons are weak, especially compared to the first few!
