James M. Barrie, prolific Scottish playwright and the father of Peter Pan and Wendy, died on 19th June 1937. He was 77. Here he is, looking serious and melancholy.

I used to love drawing maps like the postcard above! Hmmm, I’m in a wistful mood today, thinking back on past loves… That’s a great picture of Barrie, too, sensitive-looking as Judy says.

Haha, thanks! I always try to find intriguing images. Otherwise, what is the point? Who wants to see images of famous writers looking normal or bored or everyday? I know I do not.

Did you see “Finding Neverland” with Johnny Depp, loosely based on Barrie’s life? This image immediately brought that movie to mind.
