    • I actually agree, but then I am a classic and obscure literature lover (which, of course, you know if you are reading this blog). I decided to post this, figuring that at least some of my readers must be more into contemporary literature than I am.

  1. You know, I’m glad Amelia Bedelia made the list because I think she’s the single most annoying figure in children’s lit. I’m glad others agree with me.

    To this day her pet phrase sticks in my head: “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing well.” See what I mean? She NEVER GOES AWAY.
