Hmmm – I think Henry Miller was living up in the clouds a bit. I just finished reading Joe Bageant’s “Rainbow Pie – a Redneck Memoir” and I think he would snort at the idea of not doing “dirty work”, that we should find another way. There is no other way.
Whatever Henry Miller did obviously worked for him, even if it resulted from him being up in the clouds a bit or in denial. I don’t condone it, or even comment on it one way or another, but whatever it was it was a success. Of course, it is not that way for most of the rest of us, so I definitely agree with you!
