1. I love it! I’m a big fan of Winslow Homer. Love the nautical ones but this is a great one too. That girl needs a more comfortable reading chair, though.

   • I like his work, too. I’d hang this one in my house, which is saying something. I agree that her chair does not look comfortable, but since I’ve been known to sit on weird things when I am engrossed in a book I really cannot talk…

3. Thanks, maedez. I have not seen this watercolor before; it may be one of his relatives. His house has recently been acquired by the Portland (ME.) Museum of Art and will be open for limited tours. It is on Prout’s Neck, which if you are old money, is the place to live.
