I’m slogging my way through a bout with the ‘flu. Fortunately, I have all of the necessary accoutrements to smooth the path to wellness…
a classic novel, a gory modern mystery, a thick volume of arty, compelling letters, and a cuppa steaming Earl Grey. *
*Not pictured: two yellow dogs and one calico cat cocooning me with their furry warmth, purrs, and murmurs.

I love your reading selection! (I’m a Hardy fan, and I’m currently reading the “arty letters.”)

Great minds, right? My mom gave me the “arty letters” a year ago. I started reading them, fell in love, then shelved the book until last week. I am trying to read them as slowly as possible, as I want the experience to last. 🙂 For some reason, I appreciate Hardy best in autumn and winter.

Feel better! It stinks to be under the weather, but I have to say you sound pretty darned cozy.

Ha, I guess it is a bit cozy…between the coughing and the aching, that is! Thank you!

Hope you feel better soon! Earl Grey is always good for what ails. As are a few good books and a few good animals.

Agreed! My mom just got back from the UK a week ago, and the tea was a gift from her. I swear I am getting extra enjoyment from it just because of that. 🙂 The books and the animals definitely round out the cozy, healing experience.

They are, which is why I am reading them slower than molasses!
