I’m old enough that my parents had a typewriter very much like this one. I can remember, as a twelve-year-old, typing stories on it. Sometimes using carbon paper, if you can imagine. The physicality of it–keys leaping forth and striking the ribbon to leave its mark on the paper. Something very satisfying about it. No “cutting and pasting” though. Which is just one of many great luxuries we now take for granted.
Nice to see you.
