I’ve been busy this month, but not too busy to get my reading year off to a fairly fine start. This is typical of my reading habits, though. January is always one of my best bookish months.

- LIFE IN A MEDIEVAL CITY BY JOSEPH GIES & FRANCES GIES
- THE MYSTERY OF EVERETT RUESS BY W.L. RUSHO
- LIFE IN A MEDIEVAL CASTLE BY JOSEPH GIES & FRANCES GIES
- THE MGM STORY: THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF FIFTY ROARING YEARS BY JOHN DOUGLAS EAMES

- JUBILEE HITCHHIKER: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF RICHARD BRAUTIGAN BY WILLIAM HJORTSBERG

Funny you should ask. I just read two books by Helene Hnaff. I love her writing and wit. Finished Butcher’s book and started on a Miss Fisher’s Mystery, as well. Next, The Duchess of Bloomsbury. by Hnaff and I just picked up a book called…THE MUSEUM OF MYSTERIES. It’s large beautiful book on the “best-kept secrets,” of some of the artwork. Looks interesting. Got in on sale. Two more books by Hnaff in the wings. I have not started Storm in a Teacup, The Physics of Everyday Life, but I’ll get to it. đŸ™‚

Ooh – the books of Joan Crawford and MGM look great!
I just finished reading Terry Waite’s memoirs, about his time as a hostage in Beirut. Am now reading beloved Canadian historian Pierre Berton’s take on Classic Hollywood’s view of Canada. A delightful read – very funny in places.

They’re both great. The Crawford book in particular is full of luscious photographs.
Oooh, that Pierre Berton book looks wonderful. Adding it to my list, thanks!

Hi Maedez,
I was curious about why you were reading what you are. Love to see you include that in a future blog? The book by MATTEO TORCINOVICH, think I can guess at it. đŸ™‚
Love how voracious a reader you are.
