  1. Oh my goodness! How can I even pick?!?!?
I’m giggling at those that could have been written in today’s world like, “He’s Always in the Way.”
However, my favorites had a leaning to the cloth: “The Nunnery For Coquettes,” and “Atrocities Of A Convent.” Now, if you make me pick ONE…it would have to be, “Memoirs Of An Old Wig.”
These were awesome…thank you for sharing, Mae!

  2. I was totally and completely astonished and amused! A few of my favorites are:
Amorous Tales Of The Chaste Loves Of Peter The Long.
    and
The History Of A Dog. Written By Himself, And Published By A Gentleman Of His Acquaintance. Translated From The French.

  3. ‘The Affecting History Of Two Young Gentlewomen, Who Were Ruined By Their Excessive Attachment To The Amusements Of The Town. To Which Are Added, Many Practical Notes, By Dr. Typo.’ Then again, ‘Socrates Out of His Senses’ has an engaging ring to it!

  4. That is TOO funny, especially since a friend of mine shared this with me and I so totally thought of you! I was going to send you the link, but I should have known you would find it before I had the chance.

    • That is hilarious! I saw this on a friend’s Facebook feed. When I told her that I was going to post in on my blog, she informed me that she shared it on Facebook because it reminded her of me. I guess my tastes are well known!
