Daily Prompt: Tell us about a thing you’ll never write about.
This one is easy.
A closed mind is the death of creativity. Never say never.*
*As soon as this phrase ran through my mind, I thought of this old Romeo Void song. It has nothing to do with this prompt or books or writing,Β but Debora Iyall is all kinds of awesome.
I used to say I would never write about vampires. Of course that only meant that I would have to find a way TO write about vampires. It happened after I met a China Mieville vampire in The Scar.

Thus proving my point! I must admit here that I have never read one of his books. Maybe I will have to rectify that.

Make sure you have a dictionary. And start with Perdido Street Station.

Oh, I have multiple dictionaries because of that whole being a writer thing. I will check it out. Thanks for the recommendation.

I have written 3-4 responses to this question and deleted each one. I cannot think of a subject I would never write about.
Oh wait, yes, I can. Writing about “West Side Story” would be cruel and unusual punishment.

I refuse to say that there is something I will never write about, so I made that my response. I am often a contrarian with the daily prompt scenarios or questions.
You could write about why you do not like WSS! I mean, the only reason I would ever write about The Sound of Music is to enlarge on all of the reasons why I hate that movie. Hating something is legit, too. π

Ha – very true! It’s just the thought of sitting through it…
My father-in-law LOVED “The Sound of Music”. Watched it every year without fail. He was a remote man of few, brisk words but darn if those von Trapp kids didn’t get him every time.

That is how I feel about TSOF. That is a sweet story about your father-in-law! Of course, it is not enough to make me like that movie…
I have had so many people give me side-eye because of my dislike for this movie, but I stand by it. π

LOL if you write about something you’ll never write about then you’ve written about it so it’s basically impossible to do…LOL
