A very nice technician was able to restore our cable feed, but the goblins foiled his many heroic efforts to fix our Internet problem. The prognosis? It should be up and running by Monday afternoon. I could cry. I am going to drown my sorrows in the sweet satisfactions of a UK Kit Kat bar and a few pages of Shaw.
My sympathies, maedez. Our lives are so complicated until we pull out that Kit Kat bar and Shaw. Hope this problem is resolved by Monday noon.

The UK Kit Kat bar and a spot of Shaw helped a bit. We got our Internet back late Monday afternoon, and I am still catching up.

Arrrgh! How frustrating!
As marvelous as a UK Kit Kat bar and Shaw are, I myself would be digging out the wine.

I had a few beers and a cocktail or two during those 10 days but, alas, no wine.

I’m sorry to hear of your Internet problems – God knows I pretty much come completely unglued when I have computer issues! I do have to ask, though – what is the difference between a UK Kit Kat bar and an American one? I’m just so curious as to why it’s specifically a UK one?

I do not even have words for how frustrating it was, and I am a writer!
A UK Kit Kat bar tastes about 90% the same as an American one. Kind of like American Coke vs. Mexican Coke, which is made with sugar. When American companies sell their products in other countries, the ingredients are usually tweaked to comply with their markets and/or standards.

Awww. Sometimes when these things happen it’s a little nudge to take on other tasks? But I know how it feels, as if your right arm isn’t working. We will see you soon.

That is kind of how it felt, too. So frustrating when your livelihood is computer-based. On the upside, my mom visited last weekend for her birthday and it was nice to not have to worry about work for those few days.

Awwww, that’s nice. Always nice when mommies or daddies come around.
OH, my livelihood is computer based too. Oh wow. OMG.
Then, this is more than missing posts. Well, good thing it is now back!!!!! That scares me too. Anyways, happy birthday to your mum. Maedez what is your birthday?

It was very nice, I must say. We crammed a lot of fun (and over-eating) into 48 hours.
Going without functioning Internet really crippled my work. It is going to take ages to catch up and feel psychologically on track again, or at least that is how it seems right now.
My birthday is in July!

Oh cool…. a July baby. Oh the visit sounds fun!!!!
I love to eat too – even though lately sort of trying to ton it down some to tone up. Haha.
But that sounds good!
OMG I can only imagine – concerning the internet. If that happened on this end, I’d be up a creek too. =[
I hear you, with catching up Maedez. Hopefully a little blessing in disguise in all of this somewhere. Silver lining….
They say ‘think positive,’ right? o_0

I usually try to see the positive! I am still way behind with my work, but am trying to approach it with a one-thing-at-a-time mentality.

Ah yeah. You have to!!!! Haha. Waaaaay too many emails. Trying to get all that done in one sitting will cause a little premature nap! 🙂

Or my head to explode. I decided not to chance that outcome and to space it out over the course of a week.

Hmmm. Yes, otherwise your husband will be left with eventual meltdown.
But how come so many emails? What do you do?

Oh, that is so true.
A lot of the emails are just crap that do not even need attended to, but still opened and deleted. As for the rest: some are personal, many are blog-related, and the rest are professional. It is never-ending.
