After a month spent collecting boxes, I’ve started packing. I’m saving my books for last, because the thought of putting them out of sight for a few weeks nearly makes me weep.

Wow, this is getting serious. Not only did I hate packing my books, I never felt we had settled in until at least a few pieces of artwork were on the walls. I have moved a lot; home is all the things you love, settled around you.

I have a lot of art, too. Probably close to 100 framed pieces. It is never home until the art is on the walls and the books are on their shelves!

It’s fun to pack and explore things you don’t always take time to ponder or remember over.
Have an inspired day!

Thank you! It’s true-I hope to discover some things I haven’t thought of or seen in awhile.

They’re going to be so heavy… that’s my main memory of moving my books… so many and so heavy. Hope they’ll be back on display soon…

I’ve moved house so many times that I am an old hand at packing and hauling books. Unfortunately, I own way too many and they are so, so heavy. I will need dozens of boxes.

Packing away our books is like packing away part of ourselves, no matter how short the time. Hope your books will be out and back at your fingertips soon.

Oh, that is so true! I am really digging my heels on this one. They will likely be the last things I pack.

I cannot even begin to think about packing the books. Sigh. Well, The Chef has access to lots of sturdy boxes. We need a lot more, though!
