    • As you can tell from an earlier comment, I agree! I normally love to hear poets read their work, especially dead ones. It adds an element that is missing when I read it in my head or even aloud. However, I find her voice to be totally at odds with her words. It’s funny, because she was a highly sought after reader. Her poetry reading tours were wildly successful, which makes me think that there was an alchemy at play between her and a live audience that is missing from these canned snippets.
