Daily Diversion #29: A Riverside Perambulation

My mom was in town this weekend. I didn’t write anything, but I exchanged ideas with the clouds hanging over the river.

Hardier souls in running shoes were doing drills up and down the stairs. We sat, staring off into the distance or talking. The clouds were almost close enough to pluck from the sky.

We walked for miles, and met some very strange creatures…

One sunburn and several lovely memories later, I’m ready to hit the keyboard again.

    • It is beautiful (even with brown water), and has progressed a lot since I moved here 6 years ago.

Cincinnati is full of pig statues (because this was Porkopolis once upon a time). This particular gentleman is adjacent to the statue of Cincinnatus, so he is decked out accordingly!

  1. I LOVE the pig! He’s magnificent! 😀 Those clouds look gorgeous too. I am jelly of those nice stairs for drills. We have no such stairs here. Just big steep hills. They work, though.

    • He is next to a large statue of Cincinnatus, thus his theme/costume. There are lots of stairs on the riverfront AND big steep hills here, so we can pick our poison!
The clouds were so gorgeous that day. I had no idea that we would end up walking along the riverfront, so I did not have a real camera with me. Just the BB. We had a really lovely time, though.
