Beautiful work of a woman who looks as if she is unhappy to the center of her entire being. How absolutely lost she looks, as if nothing else can happen to her because she’s already happened and she has already given up.

Great description. She definitely seems unhappy. It’s a very successful painting in getting her state of mind across, and making you empathize with her.

She looks like she’s saying, “Ugh. MUST you do that NOW? Can’t I even enjoy a nice cuppa tea with out you pulling the palette and canvas out?”

Yes, I agree! And I would probably feel the same way. Tea drinking is highly important.
