I love bookish goodies almost as much as I love actual books, and reading. Being a bookworm is not a hobby: it is an all-enveloping, personality-defining lifestyle. The holiday season is just getting started, which means it is time to go shopping the literary way! Over the next two weeks, I will take you on a virtual bookish shopping spree to some of my favourite lit sites!
In 2013, we visited some wonderful literary museums. This year, I am delighted to showcase several amazing book-themed Etsy shops. Let’s get started!
MRS PEGGOTTY ARTS
Mrs Peggotty Arts is a magical little Etsy shop full of the most exquisite artwork and goods, all inspired by classic literature. Everything is just so pretty, and full of character.
MY FAVOURITE PIECE:

Madame Bovary Original ACEO by Mrs Peggotty Arts. $25.52

Thank you!
I did a similar series last year, too, only we “visited” the gift shops of writers museums.

Hi maedez – I am continually amazed at the good work on Etsy – handmade books, papers, letterpress, etc. I hope I am not being too forward but on my Etsy site, in the mixed media/collage section, I have a number of small collages on the theme of books, made with old papers and book covers and found images. The shop name is etsy.com/shop/robbinsprintmarks.com.

I am, too. Etsy gets flack for some of the downright crappy things that some people sell, but there is so much beautiful and unique stuff on there as well. I bought a lot of stuff for my wedding off of Etsy, including both of my vintage dresses.
Of course you are not being too forward! I’ll stop by your Etsy shop after the holiday! You know that I love bookish collages. 🙂

Her collection is utterly charming, and she has quite a sense of humour. The Knitting Karl Marx made me laugh out loud. So glad to have discovered her.
