Thanks to the lovely Madame Weebles, my post about Frank was Freshly Pressed yesterday. What a wonderful anniversary gift! I’m chuffed that so many readers, new and old, have taken so wholeheartedly to my dear buddy. It is truly touching that a bit of his unique spirit has touched you, too. Since I was off gallivanting about town with The Chef on Tuesday, I am only now starting to read and respond to all of your lovely, thoughtful comments. The WordPress community is stellar, and I cannot imagine hosting my blog anywhere else.
Fantastic and well deserved! Big congrats. I’m with you on the WP community. Definitely the best place for a blog or website.

Thank you! I’m finally in the club with you. π I really love the WP community. I just wasn’t feeling Blogger; this is so much better.

I tried blogger, but the format just feels so dated to me. WP is much more intuitive, IMO. Are you gonna put up your badge? You should have one now in your widgets! π

I agree. It does seem dated, and there is no sense of community like there is here. Yes, I will put up the badge today. π I’ve spent the last 3 1/2 hours catching up on comments. It was Freshly Pressed yesterday when I was out celebrating with my husband, so I am responding to everything today.

Yes, yes she did! Weebs is completely awesome. I’m glad it paid off, mostly for Frank’s sake (and a little bit for my own). He deserves it big time.

Congrats on being Freshly Pressed! I loved your story about Frank.. my dad is 88 and a half right now and he was in WWII for the British Navy…and your tribute was a reminder of all the things he has been through.
