The speech sorta leaves something to be desired, but his prose was quite wonderful. I like his short stories and the novels that are a bit more accessible, like “Light in August.”
Agreed. The speech does not overwhelm one with brilliance, but I decided to post it anyway because of the cadence of his voice. I love Faulkner, but I really have to be in the right mood to read his work.
