I love the Kenneth Grahame quote and his use of “other fellows”. It’s a good phrase; I’m going to start using it.

I agree with that quote! I feel that way every time I go on holiday. I think that the word “fellows” is not used enough, so I wholeheartedly endorse your use of the phrase “other fellows.”

Well, Artemus Ward definitely used the vernacular. I have a huge soft spot for naturalist Norris, who wrote one of my all-time favourite novels (McTeague).
