This is my response to the Weekly Photo Challenge: Ooh, Shiny!

Sliver of Downtown

I can’t resist snapping pics of downtown. This view of the LeVeque Tower (my fave building) was taken during last weekend’s Festival Latino. Although this image doesn’t capture the glorious Art Deco details of the LeVeque, I like how the building is framed between the trees.

  1. Love how you framed LeVeque Tower, with the trees sort of closing it on it…and also sort of a photo that reminds us that there’s beauty in nature too. Also lovely blue sky and it seems to add a cheery feeling to this photo – perfect summer weather 🙂

    • Thanks so much. The LT is hands-down my fave building, and I always try to do it justice (which is difficult, because it is so, so stunning). It was definitely a cheery day. We were at a local festival downtown, very near to my apartment. The weather was perfection. Great memories!
