When I was a child, I actually thought Paddington station was named after Paddington bear, not the other way around. Great stories from a great author. Tonight I’m going to have a marmalade sandwich in tribute to him!

Was sad to hear this. I grew up with the Paddington books as well as the animated TV series. Also had stationery sets for school, breakfast bowls etc. In my kitchen now I still have my Paddington tin money box.

  I loved the books, too. I definitely had a stuffed Paddington at one point. Alas, I have neither it nor a childhood copy of any of the books.
