What is on your reading list this month?
How are you approaching the new reading year? Eagerly? Obsessively? Or slowly but surely?
This is a really light reading month for me, as I am spending a third of the month on vacation.
Since 1st February, I’ve finished:
- How to be Lovely: The Audrey Hepburn Way of Life by Melissa Hellstern
- Famous and Infamous Londoners by Peter de Loriol
- Killer Tomatoes: Fifteen Tough Film Dames by Ray Hagen and Laura Wagner
- Women in the Arts in the Belle Epoque: Essays on Influential Artists, Writers and Performers
- Billy Bragg: Still Suitable for Miners by Andrew Collins
I’m in the midst of reading:
- The Lost Tudor Princess: The Life of Lady Margaret Douglas by Alison Weir (this is my sole road-trip read)
To be finished by 29th February:
- Clara Bow: Runnin’ Wild by David Stenn (I first read this book when I was in high school)

A Small Press Life: Books. Art. Writing. Life. Tea. 
Crooked Heart by Lissa Evans. Charming children’s tale set during WWII. Funny, eccentric characters. Good for big and little children.

Just finished “The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes” which was thoroughly enjoyable. Have started “Too Big to Fail” which is utterly mesmerizing. I can hardly put it down.

I have way too many books going. I hop from one to another and pick whatever book is nearest to my hand. I’m very interested in your opinion of Women in the Arts in the Belle Epoque.

That’s how I roll, too. I’m always reading multiple books. The thought of reading one at a time is an entirely foreign concept to me.
Women in the Arts in the Belle Epoque is a worthy read with some very uneven chapters, on account that each one is authored by a different writer. I’d recommend it with reservations.

The one book that Steve Jobs had on his iPad: Autobiography of a Yogi. I got it in June 1978 and haven’t read it again since then, but now still I remember many persons that are mentioned vividly and am enjoying it very much. I won’t finish it in one read. The next one I probably will: My Name Is Asher Lev by Chaim Potok. That would be the third time 🙂
