Anne Brontë, the forgotten sister, died on 28 May 1849. She was 29. Her novels are quite entertaining, so there is really no excuse for the shadowy, reclusive life of her fame.

Didn’t all the Bronte sisters die rather young? I read something recently about Anne, that her books are overlooked but well-written.

The entire family died young, except the dad. Charlotte lived to be just shy of 39, and she lived the second-longest. I recommend Anne’s books. They are quite good.

I know! ‘Twas a peril of living in the mid-19th century. Her sister Emily died at 30, their brother Branwell made it to 31, and Charlotte died just shy of 39. Branwell, Emily, and Anne all died within an 8-month period. The 2 oldest Bronte siblings died at 10 and 11, respectively. Their mother died at 38. Only their dad lived to old age. He died at 84, and outlived them all.

We did. We will love it, or that is the plan. This whole living in a house thing is an experiment of sorts. We’ve lived in lofts so long that adjusting to having separate rooms (that have doors!) is probably going to take a bit!

We are relieved, yes! There are so many unsuitable places out there.
We have the keys and will start moving small things on Friday, although we are not moving furniture until Sunday. So excited, especially because my momma is coming to town to help. 🙂

I love how birdlike and delicate, yet sharp, her features are as depicted by Branwell. His alcoholism must have been a drain on the sisters.
