I believe Raymond Carver produced much of his work after giving up the booze, although drinking and its effects played a significant part in the stories and poems.
Luther surprises me and I read a lot of Luther is college. Love this. I agree that one glass of wine loosens me up for writing at times, whereas two make an idiot of me, though a happy idiot.
I don’t drink, but when I do drink I am terribly funny – to myself. I would like to have a drink with Martin Luther and tell the Devil to go to hell.

I can write just fine with 2 or 3 drinks in me. After that, no way!

This interesting! My new found cravings for mint mojitos and coconut vodka are in direct correlation with my cravings to write.
